Overview
Harry Reid International (KLAS) is Las Vegas's primary commercial and business aviation gateway, sitting under two nm from the metro area at 2,183 ft elevation. The field runs four paved concrete runways, including a 14,835 ft main strip, and handles a 2025 annual total near 494,000 operations, of which roughly 60,000 are business aviation movements per FAA TFMSC data. Onsite CBP inspection services and a USDA compliance agreement support international arrivals, and the airport is towered with round-the-clock ramp control coordination.

Harry Reid International has published operating constraints in five categories: access, runway notes, environmental, pavement strength and other notes.
Extensive glider and soaring operations occur on weekends and holidays, from sunrise to sunset, within LAS restricted area R187/020, at altitudes up to but not including FL180. Gliders remain clear of the TCA but otherwise operate within the entire southwest quadrant of the TCA veil.
All non-standard runway operations require prior permission from the Department of Aviation.
Customs requires prior permission. GA customs reservations require 12-hour prior permission. GA customs and immigration are located on the west side, between the FBOs.
Aircraft with a wingspan greater than 135 ft require prior permission from the Department of Aviation to use taxiway H.
Practice landing approaches are authorized between 0200 and 0600.
When the special event parking PPR program NOTAM is active, transient aircraft operators who are not based at the field must obtain a PPR number from a selected FBO for each landing. PPR approval and confirmation numbers can be obtained from the selected FBO. PPR confirmation numbers should be entered in the remarks section of each flight plan.
Pilots conducting EFVS operations should be aware that an LED approach lighting system is in use on runway 26L.
Daily weather balloon launches occur at approximately 1100Z and 2300Z (0400 and 1600 local during daylight saving time; 0300 and 1500 local at all other times), 3.1 nm southwest, at approximately 221 degrees, from the tower.
The approach ratio is 34:1 to the displaced threshold.
The approach ratio is 23:1 to the displaced threshold.
The approach ratio is 50:1 to the displaced threshold.
The approach ratio is 20:1 to the displaced threshold.
Turbojet departures are not permitted on runway 01R/19L or 01L/19R between 2000 and 0800, with exceptions for weather or operational necessity.
Runway 08L has a 589 ft clearway; runway 26R has a 645 ft clearway.
A lighted golf range is located 1,400 ft south of runways 01L/19R and 01R/19L.
Aircraft departing the full length of runways 01L and 08L must hold at the same hold line, as there is no room to hold between the runway ends; such aircraft should verify they are on the correct runway.
Aircraft taxiing westbound on taxiway B near taxiway E should use care not to enter the runway on taxiway Y; aircraft taxiing westbound on taxiway W near taxiway E should use care not to enter the runway on taxiway U.
Runway status lights are in operation.
A large number of birds and bats are in the vicinity of the airport between sunset and sunrise.

The PAPI is unusable beyond 8 degrees left and 9 degrees right of centerline.
Aircraft may experience reflection of sunlight from glass hotels located northwest of the airport. Reflection may occur at various altitudes, headings, and distances from the airport.
GA parking is very limited. Contact either FBO for parking availability.
A tiedown fee applies.
(E98) plus 64 shelters and 24 sheds.
Aircraft operating near the intersection of taxiways S, D, G and the north end of taxiway Z should be alert, as there are closely aligned taxiway centerlines and radius turns.
Numerous helicopter operations occur on the west side of the airport.
Use caution for parachute jump activity in the vicinity of the airport.
All aircraft should contact Ramp Control on frequency 124.4 for operations at A, B, and C gates, and for GA and customs areas; contact Ramp Control on frequency 127.9 for operations at D and E gates and the cargo ramp prior to entering the ramp or pushing back from a gate or parking spot. Ramp Control operates from 0500 to 0100 local. When the ramp is closed (0100-0500 local), broadcast all non-movement area operations on UNICOM 122.95.
GA CBP reservations are required via the website.

The longest runway at Harry Reid International (KLAS) is 08L/26R, a paved concrete surface measuring 14,835 ft by 150 ft. The airport also operates three other paved concrete runways: 08R/26L at 10,526 ft, 01L/19R at 9,770 ft, and 01R/19L at 9,769 ft. All four runways are wide enough at 150 ft to accommodate large transport-category aircraft. This runway configuration supports the airport's mixed commercial and business aviation traffic, which totaled roughly 494,000 annual operations in 2025.
Yes, CBP inspection services are available onsite at Harry Reid International (KLAS), supported by a USDA compliance agreement. General aviation customs reservations require prior notice, with a 12-hour PPR window according to airport remarks. GA customs and immigration processing is located on the west side of the field, between the FBOs. Crews should also note a separate CBP reservation requirement referenced on the airport's website for GA arrivals. This setup allows international business aviation traffic to clear customs directly at KLAS rather than diverting to another port of entry.
Aircraft operating at Harry Reid International (KLAS) must contact Ramp Control on 124.4 for movement at A, B, and C gates, as well as for GA and customs ramp areas. Ramp Control on 127.9 covers D and E gates and the cargo ramp; both frequencies must be contacted before entering the ramp or pushing back from a gate or parking spot. Ramp Control operates from 0500 to 0100 local time. Outside those hours, when the ramp is closed, pilots should broadcast all non-movement area operations on UNICOM 122.95.
General aviation parking is very limited at Harry Reid International (KLAS), and pilots must contact one of the field's FBOs to check availability before arrival. A tiedown fee also applies to based and transient GA aircraft. During special event periods, a PPR parking program NOTAM may be activated, requiring transient operators who are not based at the field to obtain a PPR number from a selected FBO for each landing. That PPR confirmation number must then be entered in the remarks section of the flight plan. Wingspans greater than 135 ft additionally require prior permission from the Department of Aviation to use taxiway H.
At Harry Reid International (KLAS), turbojet departures are not permitted on runway 01R/19L or 01L/19R between 2000 and 0800 local, with exceptions made for weather or operational necessity. Practice landing approaches are separately authorized only between 0200 and 0600. Ramp Control's published operating hours run from 0500 to 0100 local, with UNICOM 122.95 used for non-movement area broadcasts outside that window. These scheduling constraints reflect the airport's high volume of mixed commercial and business aviation traffic, which peaks seasonally in May, March, and October.
