Landing essentials
Whether you can land, whether you can refuel, and how customs works here.
Overview
Monmouth Executive Airport (KBLM) serves the Belmar / Farmingdale area of New Jersey with a primary runway long enough to handle a wide range of business jet traffic. The field sits without an operating control tower and reports fuel available around the clock, supporting operators who need flexibility outside standard hours. Its position roughly 35 nautical miles from the New York metro area makes it a practical alternative for operators avoiding the busier Class B airports.
Monmouth Executive Airport has two paved runways. The longest, 14/32, is 7,345 ft long and 100 ft wide, with an asphalt surface.

Monmouth Executive Airport has Jet A and 100LL available on the field. Fueling is available 24 hours a day, every day, and the airport has no control tower.

Monmouth Executive Airport recorded 8,866 business aviation movements in 2025. Traffic peaks in August. Business aviation traffic at KBLM concentrates in the summer months, peaking in July and August before tapering through the fall and winter.

Monmouth Executive Airport has published operating constraints in four categories: access, runway notes, environmental and other notes.
For clearance delivery, contact McGuire approach control via frequency if unable to obtain it otherwise.
Runway 14/32 has non-standard medium intensity runway lighting; the runway 32 threshold lights are non-standard.
A tree 15 feet or taller stands 138 feet from the runway end, 13 feet right of centerline.
On runway 21, a 32-foot pole or building is located 60 feet from the threshold, 70 feet to the left.
The obstruction clearance slope to the threshold is 20:1.
Runway 14/32 has a non-standard taxiway separation of 185 feet.
A berm 36 feet high is located north of runway 14/32, 65 feet from centerline.
Taxiways have non-standard markings. Runway hold markings on taxiways are in non-standard placement. Taxiway lines do not ensure wingtip or rotor clearance at the northwest end of the parallel taxiway.
No helicopter activity is permitted northeast of runway 14. Helicopter flight instruction is conducted by pre-arrangement only.
Deer and birds are present on and in the vicinity of the airport.
Self-service 100LL fuel is available 24 hours a day.
Jet A fuel is available 24 hours a day.
Touch-and-go landings are not permitted on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
All transient aircraft must proceed to the FBO located on the west side of the airport.

KBLM's primary runway, 14/32, measures 7,345 feet long and 100 feet wide with an asphalt surface. This is the longest paved surface at Monmouth Executive Airport and accommodates most business jet types operating into the field. A secondary runway, 03/21, is also paved but considerably shorter at 3,508 feet and narrower at 50 feet wide. Operators planning larger aircraft should default to runway 14/32 for arrivals and departures.
Monmouth Executive Airport advertises both 100LL and Jet A fuel available 24 hours a day. The 100LL is specifically noted as self-service, while Jet A availability is listed without that qualifier. This round-the-clock access supports operators arriving or departing outside typical business hours. Transient aircraft should still note that all arriving traffic is directed to the FBO located on the west side of the airport.
KBLM operates without a control tower, making it a non-towered field. Pilots need to coordinate arrivals, departures, and traffic pattern work using standard non-towered procedures and common traffic advisory frequency calls. The airport does note a departure clearance option through McGuire approach control via frequency if unable to obtain clearance by other means. Given the absence of tower control, awareness of published obstacles and wildlife activity noted for the field becomes particularly relevant.
Monmouth Executive Airport does not have customs service onsite. The nearest customs-equipped airport is KNEL, located approximately 13.81 nautical miles away. Operators requiring customs clearance need to route through that facility rather than clearing directly at KBLM. This distance should factor into flight planning for any international arrivals intending to use Monmouth Executive as a final destination.
Monmouth Executive Airport prohibits touch-and-go landings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Helicopter activity is also restricted, with no helicopter operations permitted northeast of runway 14. Helicopter flight instruction at KBLM is only conducted by pre-arrangement. Pilots planning weekend pattern work or helicopter training should account for these limitations when scheduling operations at the field.
