Tyndall AFB Airport has published operating constraints in five categories: access, runway notes, emergency arresting systems, noise procedures and other notes.
Restricted: 48-hour prior permission required through Airfield Management; PPR is valid within 1 hour plus or minus the estimated time of arrival. Early or late arrivals and departures must be recoordinated. C-130 and larger aircraft must provide Airfield Management Operations 48 hours prior coordination for aircraft operations requiring barrier removal.
Restricted: precision approach radar for Runway 32L applies to Height Group 4 aircraft with a wheel crossing height of 15 feet. For Runway 14R, Height Group 4 aircraft have a wheel crossing height of 11 feet, and Height Group 3 aircraft have a wheel crossing height of 16 feet.
Transient alert: progressive taxi is available. Transient aircraft must arrive and depart during normal duty hours unless otherwise approved. Maintenance capability is limited to F-22 aircraft.
The first 1,500 feet of Runway 14R and the first 2,760 feet of Runway 32L are concrete; the middle 4,875 feet is asphalt.
The 979-foot overrun on Runway 14R is used for taxiing aircraft and rollout only. C-130 and larger aircraft must keep outboard engines at idle when taxiing on the center of Taxiway Bravo.
Restricted: C-130 or larger aircraft must execute a 180-degree turn on Runway 14R-32L within the last 1,000 feet.
Miscellaneous: the augmented weather observation point view is obstructed by buildings, hangars, and trees, particularly to the southeast and northwest. A cooperative weather watch with the tower supplements some restrictions. At night, ramp lighting makes it difficult to establish cloud cover, cloud height, and visibility.

Arresting gear: Runway 14L-32R uses a standard BAK-12B configuration with the approach end disconnected, maintained Thursdays 1100-1400Z. Runway 14R-32L uses a standard BAK-12B configuration with an MB-100 always in place at the departure end, maintained Tuesdays 1100-1400Z.
Noise abatement is subject to weather conditions. Heavy aircraft should expect radar vectors until reaching 6,000 feet.
Fluids available: SP, PRESAIR, LHOX, and LOX.
Oil available: O-148, SOAP.
Caution: drone launch and recovery operations occur 2.5 and 3 statute miles south-southeast of the main airport. Extensive training jet traffic operates 40 nautical miles east. Night weather observation is limited due to high-intensity stadium lighting.

Miscellaneous: inbound Canadian aircraft must file a 1AF prior to arrival and should expect progressive taxiing instructions.
Miscellaneous: transient fighter aircraft should expect two-ship launch and recovery. Transient service via DLA should be expected during peak mission times and weekends. Inbound VIP aircraft should contact the command post 30 minutes prior to landing. Routine classified and COMSEC storage is available through Airfield Management.
Restricted: aircraft operations and taxiing after airfield operating hours are not authorized except in an emergency or with prior coordination with Airfield Management.
Transient alert: follow-me service is available. Fleet service is unavailable and does not support local flights by transient aircraft.
Miscellaneous: weather flight operations are available 24 hours. Weather briefings for transient aircraft outside normal airfield hours are provided by the 26th Operational Weather Squadron at Barksdale AFB. Augmented weather observations occur when a tornado, funnel cloud, waterspout, hail of a quarter inch or greater, or volcanic ash is observed or expected.
Restricted: Taxiway B north of Taxiway G, and Taxiway F edge lights, are unavailable. These taxiways are available for daytime VFR operations only.
Use extreme caution for extensive unmanned aircraft system operations.
