When the control tower is closed, the MALSR on Runway 30 activates, along with REILs on Runways 08R, 12, 26L, and 26R, and PAPIs on Runways 12, 08R, 26L, and 26R. HIRL on Runway 08R/26L and MIRL on Runway 08L/26R are controlled via CTAF. HIRL, touchdown zone lighting, and centerline lights on Runway 12/30 operate continuously when the tower is closed. The PAPI on Runway 30 also operates continuously.
Runway 08R/26L is not available for Part 121 or Part 380 operations involving scheduled passenger-carrying flights with more than 9 passenger seats, or non-scheduled passenger-carrying flights with more than 30 passenger seats.

Running landings and takeoffs by helicopters with skid-type landing gear are not permitted on Runway 08L-26R. Rolling landings and takeoffs by helicopters with wheel-type landing gear are permitted.
All aircraft on or entering left downwind for Runway 26L must remain north of Signal Hill unless specifically instructed otherwise by air traffic control.
All aircraft on downwind for Runway 26L are not authorized to turn base or begin descent until east of Runway 30, unless specifically instructed to do so by air traffic control.
All aircraft on downwind for Runway 08L are not authorized to turn base or begin descent until west of Runway 12, unless specifically instructed to do so by air traffic control.
Noise limits, expressed as single-event noise exposure levels in decibels, are as follows: Runway 26R takeoff 92.0, landing 88.0; Runway 08L takeoff 88.0, landing 92.0; Runway 26L takeoff 95.0, landing 93.0; Runway 08R takeoff 95.0, landing 92.0. Runways 12 and 30 have time-based limits: 102.5 takeoff and 101.5 landing from 0700 to 2200; 90.0 for both takeoff and landing from 0600-0700 and 2200-2300; and 79.0 for both from 2300 to 0600.
24-hour prior notice is required for military jets and civilian non-Stage III jets. Contact the noise office Monday through Friday, 0800-1700.
