Overview

Runway conditions and braking action vary during winter months. Snowbanks may form along runway and taxiway edges during fall, winter, and spring months. Treacherous mountain terrain is in close proximity on all quadrants of the runway.
Avoid low-level flight over the city or east of the runway.
This is a noise-sensitive airport. Landing on runway 13 and takeoff on runway 31 are the preferred noise abatement procedures. Due to the proximity of the town of Alpine and airport housing, touch-and-go operations are prohibited.
There is a voluntary curfew from dusk to dawn. Night landings are limited to airpark residents only. Night takeoffs and landings are not advised for pilots unfamiliar with the terrain. Wildlife is present on and in the vicinity of the airport, including a bird and waterfowl hazard.
