Arresting gear service is not available when the airfield is closed. On runway 03L/21R, the approach and departure end BAK-12A units are in raised position with 8-point tie-downs, and the departure end MB60 in the overrun is in raised position. On runway 03R/21L, the departure end BAK-12A and MB60 in the overrun are in raised position, and the approach end BAK-12A is in raised position with 30-minute prior notice. During extended single-runway operations, the approach and departure end BAK-12B and departure end MB60 are raised for the open runway. All eight BAK-12 shelters are located 200 ft from the runway centerline.
For hop-over operations, the raised MB60 arresting system remains 500 ft, extending until 1,000 ft past the runway threshold.
Noise abatement procedures apply; a noise-sensitive area lies 5 nm northeast of the field.
