Restriction: runway 05R/23L is marked with white non-reflective landing zone markings measuring 99 feet by 3,624 feet. A 24-hour prior permission requirement applies to all non-445th aircraft, and use is limited to two landing zone landings per mission.
The southwest 2,600 feet of the runway surface is concrete, while the northeast 10,000 feet is asphalt.

The 445th Airlift Wing (Air Force Reserve Command) operates 1200Z through 0330Z the following day, Monday through Friday, and during training weekends.
Fluid: special fuels PRESAIR, LHOX, and LOX are available.
Oil: O-148-156 SOAP/JOAP testing is available from 1230Z to 2130Z on weekdays, except closed on weekends and holidays.
Transient alert: the passenger terminal is operated under contract. All aircrews requiring support must coordinate prior to arrival or departure during normal duty hours, Monday through Friday 1130Z to 2030Z, or contact the after-hours duty cell.
Restriction: inbound aircraft carrying VIP passengers must contact Airfield Operations on the designated frequency 30 minutes prior to arrival.
Note: limited COMSEC storage is available; prior coordination is required with Airfield Management Operations.
Caution: night vision device operations are in progress Tuesday through Thursday from sunset to 0400Z the following day. Check NOTAMs and ATIS for current operations. When these operations are in effect, non-participating aircraft should contact the tower 20 miles or 15 minutes prior to entering the Class D airspace, and for airfield lighting adjustment.
Caution: small unmanned aircraft system operations occur within KFFO Class D airspace from the surface to 400 feet AGL, sunrise to sunset; check ATIS and NOTAMs. A high-density small UAS recreational remote control operating area exists from the surface to 1,400 feet MSL, 3.5 nautical miles southwest of the FFO TACAN; operations above 400 feet AGL are published via NOTAM.
Note: ARFF service is NFPA Category 8 at a reduced level of service due to 8,100 gallons of agent being available.
Restriction: aircraft backing procedures are not authorized at the intersection of taxiway A and taxiway A2 due to increased foreign object debris potential.
Caution: grass cutting operations occur on the airfield from 1130Z to 1930Z, Monday through Friday, April through October.
