Caution: from October 1 to March 31, military operations enter Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard Phase II. Under severe bird watch conditions, takeoff, landing, and low approaches are not available except in an emergency, and local or tactical training is not available. Under moderate conditions, multiple approaches are not available; departure or full stop is permitted only if the route avoids bird activity.
All taxiways are closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 170 feet except with one-hour prior permission. Taxiway J north of Taxiway F is closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 94 feet when the west arm/dearm pad is in use. Taxiway B between Taxiway F and Taxiway C is closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 147 feet 1 inch except with one-hour prior permission. Taxiway B between Taxiway C and Taxiway B1 is closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 118 feet when the east arm/dearm pad is in use. Taxiway S and Taxilane S are closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 170 feet between Taxiway B and the southeast cargo area. Taxilane S is closed to aircraft with a wingspan over 94 feet east of the southeast cargo area.
Helicopter operations occur from the surface to 3,500 feet within 1 nautical mile east and west, and within 5 nautical miles south, of Runway 10R/28L.
